Received an Xbox Live promotion however in wrong currency; is there a way in can be converted?

We were able to determine that you received Xbox Store credit in the currency for the region your Xbox Live account is set to. If you are physically located in a different region, you would want to switch your Xbox Live account region to where you are physically
located in to avoid this in the future using our
Xbox Live Account Migration Tool.

We are unable to replace the code with the currency you are located in, but be sure to change your account region to avoid this in the future! Thanks for posting.

This offer can take up to 4 weeks before you receive your promotional currency. Keep in mind that this offer is only valid for purchasing Xbox Live Gold through the promotion on the dashboard. If you added an Xbox Live Gold token to your
account during this promotion, it will not qualify you for this promotion. If it has been over 4 weeks and you still have not received your currency and you have followed all of the required steps, please let us know. Thanks!

It looks like you were able to successfully migrate your account over. However, any remaining currency in your account will not be converted.

However, next time you receive any kind of currency, it should be in the correct region now.

We did not convert Microsoft Points into Xbox Live Rewards Credits. They were all placed into your Microsoft Account before that promotional currency was discontinued. You can see a complete history of your Credit and deposit events from the MyStatement
on the MyRewards page.

Point's expiring before the patch even went live or points converted would be exactly why your points expired... These points you had were promotional points that means that they were earned from a program like Xbox LIVE Rewards, Bing Rewards, or another
Microsoft promotion where you earned these Microsoft Points. There's no way to get points back that have expired.

@Lakais02 - If you still have Microsoft Points in your account, you will need to go to your Xbox 360 console and attempt to purchase something using those points, once you do so, you'll receive a prompt telling you that your points have been converted to currency.
Whatever the balance is, you should be able to spend. Now, with your issue of being in an unsupported country, it's exactly the same as it was with Microsoft Points. If you purchase something that isn't available in your country/region you might have issues
downloading that content properly. The points will be converted the local currency of whatever country your account is registered to.
