Received an enforcement action ban for no reason

Received a false 48 hour ban without any reason given. I know it’s a false ban because I’ve done nothing wrong as far as violating any TOS, or community guidelines.

Haven’t had so much as a negative conversation or message exchanges with anyone on the service. Was involved in the ambassador program so I’m well aware of the guidelines and standards are, Have had this account for 15 years now and this is the first enforcement.

There are no details as to why this enforcement has been issued. It wouldn’t have been an issue (mistakes happen) if I’d be able to request a review or appeal but there is NO option to do so. Xbox support on twitter has told me over 24 hour enforcements should be reviewable/appealable but this is not the case.

It doesn’t make sense that the action says I violated the community guidelines, but no details are given. In the case someone does something wrong (I didn’t) How would anybody know what not to do for next time.

Not sure how Microsoft ended up in a place where they are banning customers/people minding their own business gaming, but here we are. There is no reason not to at least allow it to be reviewable, which would fix mistakes like this.

I also never received any email about the action which I assumed would’ve been sent.

did you change your profile picture or post to LFG?

LFG is only for finding a group to play with, if that's what you did. Any solicitation for items request or anything like that often results in a 48 hour ban

I'm sorry to hear about your ban. However, Xbox Enforcement never bans "for no reason". Go to enforcement.xbox.com for more information on why you were banned and the duration of your ban. You should have also received an email from the Enforcement team
regarding this action. Hope this helps!

2- Go to your account's enforcement history.

3 - Locate your enforcement action.

4 - Click on "Suspended features".

Some enforcement actions are immediately issued the same day the violation takes place, while others require more time for investigation.

If you receive an enforcement action when you’re not on Xbox Live, it may be the result of prior activities. Keep in mind that the Code of Conduct has no statute of limitations, and a player can receive an enforcement action at any time for past offenses.

Your enforcement history is the best place to find more info about an enforcement action. Sign in to enforcement.xbox.com with the Microsoft account that received the enforcement
action, and then select the orange box with the handshake icon.
