Reapir/Replace option needed

I have had ny controller over 2 years now as i bought it on release. It is a greta piece of kit and has only started to let me down except for the rubber grips which came loose after 10 months. I now have a right d-pad that doesnt work well, Paddle 1 does
not work when clicked in so i have had to move the paddle to p2, both thumbsticks are loose and sometimes randomly turns itself off during a game (not dead batteries)

I have had a chat with microsoft support who have advised that there is nothing they can do for my controller that is 2+ years old (rightly so) but there should be an option to send it in for a repair at least right?

I do not wish to have my controller fixed or replaced for free as it has lasted (a little short for what you pay) but its lasted a good 2 years. I do not want to purchase another one as they are expensive for a gamepad but i just wish that microsoft come
up with a reapair service for the elite controller being that there are numerous accounts of broken pads out of warranty.

I would gladly pay for it to be repaired as it would be a lot cheaper than buying a new one to replace it.

Im hoping that they see this post and at least look into the possibilty of this service to the loyal Xox fans.

Please microsoft hear us!!!!!!!!

WHY DOES MY XBOX 360 READ MY GAME AS DVD AFTER I PATCHED?

umm but is there any other way without sending it to reapir it?

my Scorpio edition has recently started being really loud and crashing, when I took it to clean I noticed the plastic case was warped

Either way you should take it to a service tech or send out to microsoft for reapir

The internal 4GB IS actually replacable, it just makes it so Microsoft will NOT reapir your Console if you want them to. It is just a small chip inside, not even hardly a DRIVE.

if the warranty is expired you can have the dvd drive replaced by a 3rd party reapir service. just make sure the repairperson is knowledgeable and knows they need to have the drive paired with the motherboard. replacing the whole console is not necessary
if the dvd drive is the problem. it's not illegal or against the terms of service to get your own stuff fixed by someone other than microsoft.
