    Really bad input delay and disconnections on PC


    I bought a wireless Xbox controller from the Design lab last year, and recently I've been experiencing terrible input lag, and sometimes straight up disconnecting from my PC and I don't know what to do about it.

    I've tried many things, such as:

    • Unpairing and reconnecting it from my PC
    • Updating the controller with the Xbox Accessories app
    • Changing the batteries (I use a rechargeable battery pack so I tried switching to regular batteries)
    • Turning on/off Steam Input on Steam
    • Hell I've even tried switching PCs entirely, I recently built a new one so I tried it out on the new one and it still suffers
    With all of these attempts the best I can get is like 10 minutes of it working normally before it goes back to being a waste of space, so I'm kind of just stuck.

    And by the way, yes, a wired connection works just fine, but I specifically bought a wireless controller so what's the point there?

    Really bad input delay and disconnections on PC

    Did you by chance install the drivers for your motherboard? While most things will work fine, these are generic drivers installed from Windows. It might be a long shot with something as simple as Bluetooth, but worth a shot.

    Something may also be interfering with the signal, causing your controller to drop out.

    Thanks for the tip, I tried that just now and it worked for like 15 minutes and then went back to being unreliable :/
