Realltek sound lost stereo AGAIN

Every time Windows11 is updated I lose my stereo sound and have to screw around with the system setting, audio and headphone setting again and again and again.

So my question is, "Why is Windows11 such a buggy piece of dead fish?"

Is it because Microsoft only hires the cheapest programmers it can find on the global market, or is it that you guys just dont test your **** before dumping that steaming pile of offal off on the public?

Enquiring minds want to know, but in the meantime I am going to work till my dying day to get Congress to break up Microsoft and make sure the share holdrs are different from the current mostly indifferent ****.

We understand that you are having an issue on your Realtek sound audio. Let us check on this together and sort this out. We would suggest some basic troubleshooting and see if this could fixed.

Please follow the steps provided;

Press Windows key + X
Go to Device Manager
Expand the Sound and Video Game Controllers
Look for Audio driver that was installed
Right click and Update
Look for "Browse my computer for driver
Let me pick drivers available drivers
Choose an old driver and use it.

Go to Control Panel
In Control Panel, select Large icons from the View by drop down menu.
Select Sound.
Select the Playback tab
Right click the Headset and click Enable.
Right-click it again and select Set as Default Device.
Right click Headset and click Properties.
Click the Levels tab, then drag the volume slider towards the largest value.
Click on Advance Tab
Uncheck the box to "Allow Application to take exclusive controls on this device"
Click OK.

Restart your computer and test the headphones.

If issue persist, let's download the updated driver
What is the exact model of your computer?

To check the system model proceed with these steps.
-Press Windows key + R
-Type msinfo32 and hit enter.
-Look for the System Model and manufacturer and post it here.

for some reason the sound defaulted to 7.1 instead of stereo audio. So the sound track was channeled out. Changed to stereo and all is good again.

@Lost. So once you've turned on the Surround sound beta, you should be able to go into display and sound from the settings menu and choose between 5.1 uncompressed, 7.1 uncompressed, or stereo. The only way you wouldn't be able to is if you have an optical
cable running from the X1 to the receiver.

Have you tried changing the console sound settings under HDMI from stereo uncompressed to one of the other options and back again?
