    My xbox 360 s will play disks but after a while a message pops up saying the disk is unreadable. I have tried this with several different games and it still does it. Any suggestions?

    Hi oOUTSIDERo62,

    Thanks for the response, however we have tried all the suggestions made by Microsoft except clearing the Cache.

    The unit was working fine immediately prior to me disconnecting it and inverting it whilst it still had a disc in it.

    It stops the boards from being cluttered up & pushing other peoples threads down.

    Hello Flying duck1234,

    Check The Disc.

    • Make sure there are no scratches in the disc like this.

    Clean The Disc:

    1. Get a soft cloth.
    2. Hold the disc by the edges with the shiny part facing you
    3. Wipe from the center to outer age as shown in image below

    Disk not reading

    That means that your disc had a scratch, and if you read the manual of the Xbox, you don't have to move you XBox will a Disk is inside because that the disc can get scratched and it probably doesn't work again, sometime if you save in your HDD you can use
    the disc just to recognize the game and boot it from the HDD (I do that with my Read Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare, the disc had like a "cut" or something and by himself the game doesn't work [unreadable, stops, freezes, that stuff], but in the HDD it works
    perfect)

    So, you had 2 options:

    1.- Find someone who can borrow his game copy and make a backup in your HDD of the game and run it with your cropped disk

    2.- Buy a new Game Disk

    In any other cases, you can just repair your disk from that several scratch I think so.
