RE: Ticket 1425160309 Sea of Thieves snack promotion codes not working

Following up from a chat I just had with someone on the support chat. I was told posting this here was the best place to get this issue resolved.

GF and I bought 4 packs of the cookies for the Sea of Thieves promotion and when we got home and entered them on the site Ahoy! Enter codes for chances to win Xbox One X! they didn't work. We were given the error "There is an error on the form, Please fix
the errors highlighted."

The way it says it's supposed to work is that we enter our information there with an e-mail address and the code. We will then get an e-mail with another code (the actual code for the game). Then we'll log into our account and redeem the in-game content.
It is failing before we ever get the official Microsoft code which rules out the technical requirements of the promotion.

One issue that we think might have happened is that since the codes are printed on the outside of the package, someone might have taken pictures in the store and stolen our codes without buying the product. Obviously this is terrible for everybody who is
trying to play fair and actually buy the promoted items (I spent around 10 bucks for the four packages). It sucks for you too because now you have to deal with people like me who got ripped off by your promotion. (I wouldn't have spend the money if not for
your promotion).

I would prefer one of the following resolutions:

1. Apply the four codes to my account.

2. Just give me $10 in store credit.

3. Send me 4 new codes and let me verify they are working

Reading through the forums it's clear I'm not the only person affected by this.

I know this stuff is small, but I hate getting ripped off and it makes me sad that others are too so I'm investing the time to write all this. Thank you so much for your efforts to resolve this issue!

UNRELATED: The promotion states that you must have an Xbox Live Gold membership to participate (as I imagine many promotions do) please keep in mind that PC players are not required to have Xbox Live Gold to play games like Sea of Thieves.

You are indeed correct that the error message: “There is an error on the form. Please fix the errors highlighted” is consistent with meaning your code has already been redeemed and we are very sorry to hear about this frustrating experience.

Because this issue occurred with the first step of code redemption i.e. product code redemption from your Chips Ahoy food packaging on the Chips Ahoy redemption site, please fill out the

Support Form on that site and include the same information you provided us regarding this concern. It may be helpful to provide them with the Product Code via the Question/Comment section as well.
