well from the disc it took maybe half an hour, so i'd wager that was a connection issue. if you go through the settings menu, you can do a full connection & speed test. there may be a limiting factor you hadn't thought of.

BluRay disks are far too slow to stream data from like cds and DVDs were able to in previous generations.

First, please be cognizant of how old this thread is and refrain from replying to old threads. If you have an issue, please create a new thread.

Second, both the PS4 and One require the user to install the game to the hard drive. This is done because it's faster to load the data from the hard drive than it is to load it from the disc drive.

Its not just about how long it takes to install but also how much space, they describe the xbox one as a 500 gb console but i only have about 5 games plus one arcade and some apps, already used about 50% of my hdd, i wonder how much more it can take before
its full, buying a game from the store should mean "not installation required" unless we choose to, just like in the 360

Im really agitated with the fact to downloading updates for games it takes longer then just downloading the game in general. I installed dead rising 3 and now the update is stuck and will not move past o%. never had this problem on 360 but the update needs
to be connected to XBL and this thing is not moving please Xbox build an updated system and fix all the problems people have and allow people to send in their Xbox ones for the updated version this one sucks and im on the verge of selling it and getting a
PS4 out of pure anger.
