    RE-RELEASE BANNED GAMERTAGS


    Hi, So I have had my xbox live account for 10 years now. Now there are alot of unique gamertags out there, from 3 letter gamertags to more, but alot of them have been banned. I personally think once an account has been banned, the gamertag should be then
    re-released back out for other people to possibly obtain it. Many people would agree, and not only that it would be beneficial to xbox live themself.

    Please leave any comments, and hopefully you'll agree with me and upvote it.

    LETS GET THESE BANNED GAMERTAGS RE RELEASED FOR US TO USE.

    I'm not sure about all Gamertags, however every now and again Xbox will re-release closed Gamertags.

    Hi! MS won't allowed banned GT's to be re-use ever again as that is the point of getting perma banned.

    What's the point? The tags were banned for a reason and if the reason still exists the ban still exists. I never understood the point of wanting to reclaim an old tag in any case.

    Every once and awhile, Microsoft will re-release unused/banned Gamertags that have been dormant for x amount of years. Only then could you acquire the Gamertag.

    And doing that results in a banned gamertag (gamertags cannot be sold), so there was no real point to releasing tags. Banned tags are never removed from the system, same as gamertags that are abandoned. Why bother releasing them?
