This is also assuming that you have not redeemed the points on your sons account. But the Parental account will have the power to change the privacy/content/family controls over the child account. all you have to do is sign into the parental account and
then go over to the settings HUB, then click the Family settings, this will allow you to see your sons account and privledges WHILE on signed into your own account. Hope this helps.

Hi, you can enable parental controls in your or yours son´s account. With it enable you can disable purchases over xbox.com or you console.

Just folow these steps :

You could always just change your gamertag to something your son would want and just gift him the account. ...

This might circumvent parental controls the parent has set up for the kid and make the kid a full grown adult that can't be controlled or restricted on the Xbox anymore.

Also, the kid will then have control over the Microsoft account, meaning the kid can access the parent emails, OneDrive storage and anything else associated with the account.

So do NOT do that.

You make checking in the Parental control if the configuration for your son account is ok?
