Only the Xbox Live Gold subscription can be stacked up to 36 months. Unfortunately the Xbox Game Pass subscription cannot stack over 12 months.

You certainly can hold onto the second code and use it when the 12 months cycle expires. Prepaid codes do not have an expiration date. Only promotional codes usually have expirations dates for the codes.

Good day. It's not allowing me to contact support. I believe my prepaid subscription expired 4 months prior to expired date because I activated the code in October 2020.its a 12 month subscription for Xbox live gold. And it expired on 03 05 2021.how in the hel is this possible. I need a refund or answer. If it is a 12 month subscription how can it expire after 7 months. This is not how I pictured Microsoft treating their clients. This is false advertising at its best. If this is not resolved I will be taking court actions against Microsoft. This is not my wrong doing.

If you currently have Game Pass Ultimate and attempt to redeem a 12 month Xbox Live Gold code, it will convert to a 3 or 4 month Ultimate subscription. If you want to continue with just Gold for 12 months and not Ultimate, you would have to wait for the
Ultimate to expire before redeeming the regular Gold code.

If you don't currently have Ultimate, then you should have no problem redeeming the 12 months of Gold.

I just redeemed my Microsoft points on a 12 month subscription for Xbox gold, when I tried to redeem the code it told my that it will convert it into 4 months of Xbox game pass, I don't want game pass I want gold, do I have to wait for my game pass to

Hi, in general, you can redeem another Xbox Live Gold code while your current subscription is active, and it will extend your subscription by the number of months for the code- in other words, if your current subscription expires at the end of December 2018
and you redeem a 12-month code, your subscription would then expire at the end of December 2019. There are a couple potential constraints that might apply, so I'll list them just in case:

-You can't redeem a trial code for Xbox Live Gold while you have a current subscription. You could redeem a trial code if your current subscription expires.

-You can stack up to three years of Xbox Live Gold on one account- you might run into an error if you try to redeem something and it would push the expiration date beyond three years from today. You can check the current expiration date of your subscription
