Re-install game from XBox 360 to XBox One using prepaid code

I've been trying to re-install Assassin's Creed Liberation using the original pre-paid code I had when I bought it some years ago.

It was originally installed (and probably still is) on an XBox 360 that I left with my daughter when she moved to complete her studies. I wanted to play the game again on my Xbox One and tried to use the pre-paid code again. Only I got the message that this
code had already been used, although both consoles were configured using my MS account.

How should I do to :

- add all my previous XBox 360 games to my MS account

- re-install AssCreed Liberation onto my XBox One

I think it's really cool that they are going to offer game codes for sale. It's much more convenient for those that don't have means to pay online. I don't like to pay online too and usually buy prepaid Xbox cards. Now I don't have to do it anymore and can just purchase the games from retailers. I just need to know which retailers.

If you buy a game in the xbox store or enter a code, it's automatically tied to your account

It's not possible to connect your game to your account if the game was installed it via physical disc

You should have all games on your microsoft account - no need to upload or add anything to your account

 

to reinstall the game check your ready to install section under my games and apps on the xbox one and it should be there.

Although I can understand that games from physical disks might not be connected to one's account, on principle they actually should be.

I'll just forget about adding all my disc games to my account then...

As to finding the game under the ready to install section, I don't : nothing to be seen there.

If it was not then I'm afraid there's nothing that can be done to help with that. If the game is on your list try clicking the Add to Queue button then check your Ready to Install list on the One. If you have the 360 start the download to that console
first.
