    I'm not sure about all Gamertags, however every now and again Xbox will re-release closed Gamertags.

    RE-RELEASE BANNED GAMERTAGS

    What's the point? The tags were banned for a reason and if the reason still exists the ban still exists. I never understood the point of wanting to reclaim an old tag in any case.

    I split your post into it's own thread. Also, naming another user is against the TOU's. If you feel a user is trying to kick you offline, please report them using the appropriate methods from your Xbox 360.

    I split your post into it's own thread. Also, naming another user is against the TOU's. If you feel a user is trying to kick you offline, please report them using the appropriate methods from your Xbox 360.

    Gamertag doesn't appear to change in Party Chat.

    All you have to do is delete the friends that cannot see your new gamertag and re add them. They will then be able to see your new gamertag. This is the only fix for this. deleteing and re downloading does not work.

    Xbox seems to have been wiped

    Did you try re-downloading your gamertag? If not, please try this. Also, did you check your storage and see if everything was still located on the drive?

    Re-download your gamertag/profile and see if that works.

    No. You cannot re-activate this gamertag. It would become unfair to anyone who wanted an inactive Gamertag.
