    Re-downloading Minecraft add-on packs purchased on Xbox 360 on Xbox One


    I recently got a Xbox One and bought Minecraft for $5 plus tax. I had to add a payment method to cover the tax because I didn't have enough in my account to cover it all. But that also drained the amount I have in my account to $0. Now when I try to go re-download
    all the skin packs and texture packs I had on 360, it's telling me I need to add a payment method to buy it even though it's free and says $0.00 plus tax. Things that are actually free, like the Titanfall Season Pass, that downloads just fine.

    Is there anything I can do to fix this so I don't have to have my debit card attached to my account all the time?

    Minecraft migration from xbox 360 to One - "re-buy everything"

    For a long while I've been purchasing mash up packs, maps and other content for minecraft on the xbox 360. Noting that minecraft is owned by microsoft, I was disgusted to find that now that I've upgraded to an XBox one, that I am expected to repurchase
    most of that content.

    I basically feel like I've been conned by a company that has control of all of the chips. Microsoft, I am disappointed in you, ALL content purchased on the Xbox 360, for minecraft, should be free to download on the same account on the xbox one.

    How do I go about getting a complete refund for all of my recent 360 purchases in the minecraft store, so that I can re-buy in the minecraft store on the xbox one?

    If you view the "add-ons", you can click on the Skin packs and re-download the ones you have purchased on the 360. (It'll show up as "Free")

    Hi there,

    as far as I know the Xbox 360 version and Xbox One version are considered being different games, so any add-on purchased on the 360 will not be something that is available on the Xbox One, since it's a different game in itself.

    I'm afraid any add-on needs to be purchased again.

    As side note, the 'Minecraft' game is already a newer version compared the Minecraft the Xbox One Edition that was available on release for the Xbox One.
