Re-download Digital Games to new/refurbished Xbox One S

My older Xbox one S crashed so we purchased a new/refurbished Xbox one S. I made the new console my "Home console" and it still does not show the digital games (e.g. Halo 5) that I have previously purchased or redeemed under my account. I'm using the same
account that I used on the previous console. Using a PC, I signed on to the Xbox website and it showed that the new console is considered the "home console". I also removed the old console from my profile.

I still cannot see the previously purchased (or redeemed) games on my new console. I refuse to pay for the same games twice. Digital content should be transferable from a broken console to a replacement console. If I had the disc I'd simply install it
again.

Any ideas?

I can not download the game

I purchased the GTAV digital version, each time I download the game it will stop at 95%, I re-played twice and reset my Xbox one s, the problem still exists.

quick question . I have a new xbox one console coming tommorow my previous xbox was wiped clean and sold will I just be able to re-download my digital games without any problems to my new console? Thanks in advance

 

Your digitally-owned games would show up in the "Ready to Install" list of "My Games & Apps" after you've signed into your account on the console. They would also show up in the

purchase history of your account.

If you are missing Xbox One games redeemed under Games With Gold, it would be because your Gold subscription is currently not active. The same applies for games downloaded with Game Pass or EA Access.

Did you have other accounts on your old console before it broke? If any of these other accounts were game sharing with you, it would not automatically transfer to the new console, if
those are your missing games. The account owner who owns those games would have to log into your console and mark it as "Home".

 

The easiest way to tell if the account that you are signed into has the digital license for that particular game is to search for the game in the store and go to it and see if it requires you to purchase
it again or download.

If it says to purchase then the account you are signed into does not have the digital license for the game.

Make sure you choose which version of the game you purchased though too. For instance some games have the standard, gold, deluxe editions if you purchased the Deluxe edition and go and search for the game
and choose the standard edition it is going to tell you that you need to buy it.
