RDR

Has anyone else noticed RDR in single player is more glitched than it was playing it through the Xbox 360? I noticed this. The one glitch the annoys me the most is my War Horse keeps on collapsing dead on me when I go on a bounty hunt when I'm about to place
my tied bounty on my horse. Other times my horse collapses dead on me when I'm riding him when I'm not using all the stamina.

hi all



bought a brand new copy of RDR on sat. and have only been able to get it to play 3 times. it either freezes, quits to dashboard. and when i tried to install itto HD it took about 4-5 attempts. an kept stopping at 42-47%. eventually it installed but
wouldnt let me play at first, although it did in the end. any workaround anyone knows of other than taking it back for a replacement??

I downloaded RDR right around the time when it was announced for backward compatibility on the Xbox One. Since then, I've just been playing it on both my Xbox One and Xbox 360, whichever was more convenient each time.

I get my fair share of glitches on either console, and usually they take the form of civilians and their horses glitching halfway into the ground, and (on rarer occasions) the horse doesn't always summon with a whistle.

I've never had a problem with my horse during bounty hunts, let alone a glitch that made a specific game mode more difficult to play. I suppose for each player, YMMV -- RDR is by no means a perfectly-coded game.

Sorry to hear about any bugs or glitches within Red Dead Redemption. Have you checked out the
Backwards Compatibility thread for additional troubleshooting steps? Let's have you try that if you haven't already.

If there's a particular glitch that keeps occurring for you, please also be sure to fill out the survey within the thread linked above so we're more aware of the issue!

 

If I mention the glitches in the Xbox forum, that doesn't get Rockstar to fix them. I told them about so many glitches years ago and they admitted they were already aware of them and they still did NOTHING after all those years, also when when I proved other
glitches to them in videos. They never care. This is why RDR never came to the PC, Xbox One and PS4. Rockstar know the game is so broken and they know they have to fix it first before releasing it on other platforms and they can't be bothered to fix it, not
even the PC release for starters before Xbox One and PS4 came out. This is why Rockstar released RDR as a Backward Compatibility for Xbox One, they know they have nothing else to lose on further sales because they made them all through the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Let's face it, Bethesda never released Skyrim as a Backward Compatibility for Xbox One because they are re-releasing Skyrim for the Xbox One and PS4. I had a feeling this was going on about why Skyrim never made it to the Backward Compatibility when I was
talking to some friends of mine when I mentioned something is happening with Skyrim and I also told my friends that I was talking to RDR came to Backward Compatibility because Rockstar have no other plans for it. Then I read about Skyrim coming to the Xbox
One and PS4 that proved my point. All Rockstar are doing with RDR is making more and more money out of their broken game that they are leaving to rot and rot more and more. Rockstar never care.

 

Hey, OrcaAmity! We actually work with the publishers and developers to help improve customer experiences with their games. If it's a specific bug that was known with the Xbox 360, you will want to reach out to Rockstar to see if they have any plans on fixing
it. However, if it's something new that happens with the back compat version of this game, please see Miss Ghidorah's link; this link has troubleshooting steps as well as a survey at the bottom if those don't help. That survey is sent to the right people that
work on back compat issues, and they are the ones that work with the appropriate partners to help resolve those issues.
