    Random uninstall of game


    So I got home today and decided I wanted to download one of the free games for Gold that I heard about. Unfortunately before that could ever happen I turned on my console to see a message pop up saying "Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain installation failed".
    I was highly confused, as I've put nearly 30 hours into this game and was playing just a few days ago. However, it seems it uninstalled and won't finish installing either. Please help! There's no reason it should've uninstalled and no reason it is failing
    to install. I uninstalled it completely and tried reinstalling to the same issue.

    Do you have room-mates or family living with you? Perhaps one of them deleted the items either as a prank or accidentally.

    Sorry to hear it. Can you please try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down? Hopefully that will solve the issue.

    If it does not then delete the game and then redownload it. Your game saves are stored on the cloud so you'll still have access to them.

    Unfortunately I already uninstalled and reinstalled, and due to the issues with Metal Gear Solid being in maintenance half the time and disconnecting, causing me to play offline, I have no idea if my most recent data is backed up on cloud.
