Random sign in

So I have my account on my brother's xbox who is in the other room. Sometimes for no reason at all, it will sign me in on his console for no reason, kicking me off mine. I know he's not doing because I saw it do myself while in the room with his console
several times. I have put a pass code on that console to try to stop it, but I don't know if it worked. Did I fix it or not? Even if I did, I would like to know why this happens. Thanks

I'm sorry to hear about the disconnect frustrations. Are you connected to your network via Ethernet cable or via Wi-Fi? Most random disconnects are generally because of a hiccup with your home network. Using a wired connection can generally help alleviate
that issue. You can also try
power cycling your console to see if that helps at all.
