    Twice now my xbox has made the ding sound like someone touched the power button, and then waited a few seconds before powering off completely. Upon turning back on, there is no notification of overheating, and the console seems to be a normal temperature.

    The problem seems to have fixed itself but i dont know what was causing it but its fine now thanks.

    Console random shutoff on only my profile.

    You dont need to use that kind of behaviour....You can try several things:

    - Just do an power cycle to your console ( https://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console ) and wait if happens again;

    - Delete your profile from your console, and add again;

    - You can do a factory reset choosing "keep all my games and apps" and it will refresh the operative system.
