Random Server Connectivity

Me and my friends have been trying to play on a non dedicated ark server on my desktop but my server connectivity keeps randomly going from being connected to blocked with in the span of a few minutes. I've also had days where it's completely fine. I've
run through all of the solutions provided by microsoft with no problems turning up and yet my connection is still acting like it's bipolar. Is this a common problem and if so how can I fix this? Is it possible to port forward the server or app?

We will provide steps on how to get to the network settings of the application. Does this issue occur with any other games? It is possible to complete

port forwarding on your computer. The article we provided contains steps on how to complete this process. Be sure to let us know the results!

How to access the network settings portion of the Xbox Console Companion app:

Press the Windows key on your keyboard
Select the Xbox Console Companion app
Sign in to the application with your Microsoft account if necessary
Select the gear icon on the bottom left of the application
Select Network

I'm running a non dedicated server from my computer and it's not ARK that's giving me the issue it's the app. I can connect to other games that are hosted from on dedicated servers but am unable to connect to instances created by friends and vice versa

Yes I am getting the error message saying that my network is blocked and I have already tried all of the steps suggested by the link that accompanies the message. I have port forwarded before on my computer but am not sure how I would do so for an app

ARK Support. They are responsible for their servers.

Hi Barney,

Are you connecting to your network wireless? If so you could try a wired connection as this is more stable. It is possible if wireless it is getting interference causing it to be blocked periodically.
