    Random 10 second controller disconnects Series X


    Still haven’t found a solution to this problem, started about 2 weeks ago, controller will just stop responding, disconnects and reconnects itself automatically after about 10 seconds. The lights on the controller stay on then the controller flashes once. Reboots and resets don’t fix this and everything from the system to controller are up to date. Any thoughts ? Help.

    I’ve tried that too, I’ve also tried another series x controller and the same thing happens, and tried different battery’s and still no luck…

    I don’t think it’s a controller in particular though, it happens with both my series x controllers and started around the same time, I don’t know if it was a recent software update that caused it or not. I read about the current alpha build mentioned something about fixing controller disconnects. Any idea when this will be released or if it could fix the problems I’m having ?

    Have you looked for any available updates for those controllers?

    If they are already up to date, try to soft reset the console, since it might be the root cause of the issue!

    If the issue persists, you can try to report it so it gets looked into: Provide feedback as an Xbox Insider | Xbox Support

    Try to hold the power button on both the console and the controller for approximately 6 seconds and wait for 30 seconds at least for them to power cycle!
