    Looking to upgrade the ram in my gaming pc. Looks like ddr4 but new to this wasn't sure what kind would work. Only things that were changed was hdd to ssd samsung evo and upgraded to windows 11.

    Do you know if your PC has more RAM slots?

    If your PC has only 2 slots, you can try getting a 16 GB DDR-2666Mhz RAM. That way, you can get a total of 20 GB of RAM.

    Most demanding games don't ask more than 16 GB of RAM. So you should be good with 20 GB.

    However, if money it's not a problem, you can get 2×16 GB of RAM modules.
    Always make sure to install RAMs that have the same frequency.

    You can double-check your RAM frequency by opening the Task Manager > Performance > click “Memory” > it's the value next to “speed”.

    Additionally, you already shared the frequency. (8 GB DDR4-2666)
    In your specific case, the RAM frequency is 2666 Mhz.

    You need to consult with your manufacturer manual for compatible RAM. it's not as simple as type and frequency

    I recommend you have someone who knows what they're doing help you in person. with purchase and installation.
