Rainbow Six Siege - Game audio bug causes game to go silent and then crash

So this issue I'm having started in November 2020.

While playing Rainbow Six Siege, doesn't matter when or what I'm doing as the issue starts. I can be reinforcing, droning, on attack, defense, in Matchmaking que, just finishing a round, during victory formation, etc... The first thing that happens is the games audio goes completely out/silent. I am able to keep playing for another :30 seconds or so and then the game completely freezes. This forces me to use Xbox controller Home button - Force Quit the game back into Xbox Home screen. I then have to relaunch Rainbow Six Siege to play again, or to get back into Ranked/Unranked game.

I've been back and forth with Ubisoft and have a support ticket with them. So far, they have no idea what is going on.

Things I've tried to correct/fix this issue (None of them worked - Issue still persists):

Resetting modem

Resetting router

Factory Resetting router

Resetting Xbox / Clearing Xbox cache

Uninstall and Reinstalling - Rainbow Six Siege

Purchasing Digital version of Rainbow Six Siege - (Did have disc version previously - now I have two versions of the game)

Changing Digital Audio on Xbox settings to "Stereo Uncompressed"

Connecting audio/surround sound directly to TV - using TV speakers

Creating and applying Port Forwarding - direct UDP and TCP ports for Xbox Live and Rainbow Six Siege

Trying new HDMI cable

Trying new/different Xbox Profile

Unlinking and relinking Xbox account from Ubisoft Connect

Removing and adding back Xbox Profile account / new Xbox Account

Factory Reset Xbox - while keeping games and apps

Factory Reset Xbox Completely

Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a way this can be resolved. I've never had this issue before and I've played the game for 3 years. Rainbow Six Siege is the only game this happens to me on. I use my Xbox for everything from TV, entertainment, Music and so on.

It seems a Rainbow Six Siege audio bug various players have been raising concerns about of late has been fixed with the FPS game’s latest patch. The patch notes for the (now live) Y5S3.1 update detail a raft of different fixes, but seemingly none relating to the inverted audio hiccups. Following developer Ubisoft Montreal’s confirmation it was “aware that some players are currently experiencing an audio reverse bug in Rainbow Six Siege”, and that a solution was on the way, however, the studio now says it “believes” the bug has been fixed with the new update.

I hope a fix is on the way. Playing both yesterday and today the issue still persists.

Is this forum just for users? I’d really like someone from Microsoft to reply and truly help me out. Maybe someone in the community has solved this. This is for sure an issue that I would like fixed.
