Rage 2: Not Starting/Loading - Resolved ( Xbox Game Pass for PC ) 2020

Hi,

Could you provide us with an error code (if any) or what exactly happens when you try to run the game.

I've seen a number of threads about Rage 2 on PC Game Pass being broken. However, this seems to be a per-system issue as I tried Rage 2 on my PC yesterday and it loaded up fine.

I am also having the same issue, Rage 2 wont launch with Xbox Game Pass Beta on PC.

I called Microsoft support. Their very helpful support expert resolved the problem for me.

I do not have complete documentation of what we did to resolve it.

I believe that we checked to see that I had Gaming Services.

Then we ran wsreset.exe.

You can search the internet for instructions for this. You may need to be in Administrator mode.

Then instead of using XBox Game Pass for PC (Beta), we installed XBox (Beta).

This worked.

The wording in the Flight Simulator announcement, as I read it, made me believe that I could start using Microsoft Flight Simulator now, using XBox Game Pass after loading XBox Game Pass for PC (Beta).

My understanding was not correct.

Once you get XBox Game Pass for PC (Beta) or XBox (Beta), which is the same thing, You will see that Microsoft Flight Simulator is available.

But, if you start to play it, it will state that you are too early. We have to wait for the release date of August 18, 2020, to play it.

Off the top of my head some good games on PC/for PC with Game Pass would be... The Outer Worlds, Age of Empires 2, The Red Strings Club, Rage 2, Prey, and Nightcall.
