    RAGE 2 Not Launching - starting up only on background


    I've downloaded and installed RAGE 2 from Xbox Game Pass on PC, but when I try to launch it, nothing happens. Then I open up task manager to find RAGE 2 running only on the background tasks. I've already updated my drivers and have done pretty much everything
    I could find about this issue on websites like Bethesda and Steam. But none of them seem to solve the problem. As the game is being launched through Xbox Game Pass for PC, I thought that maybe some of you guys know what to do.

    Ive fixed the problem or at least i think i did. I cleared the cache on the xbox and everything started again.

    Well, this sucks the game is broken then. I wonder how doom runs fine but this doesn't. Talk about Bethesda eh?

    I am having this same error. I play on a laptop and when I launch it with only my laptop screen it crashes immediately. Oddly, if I attach an external monitor it runs just fine, but only on the external monitor, there is no way to switch it back to the laptop
    screen.

    This is not great for me though because my secondary screen is just an old one I have connected for playing videos, but the one in the laptop has a 144Hz display that I would much rather use.

    just boots straight into crash dialog, reinstalled, upgraded all drivers, same thing over and over.

    All other games work fine.

    I have found a workaround open a new desktop from windows desktop bar and open the game from there it seem to be working for me
    Still not working for me !

    same here , tried everything , It works fine on xbox but I want to play it on PC

    Also I am using an Alienware m17 r2 2019 with rtx 2070 and everything else works fine so it has nothing to do with specs
