Quit remote play first - Xbox error

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues using the remote play feature of your Xbox.

The Xbox error code 0x87e10022 indicates a need to disconnect from an active remote play session in order to launch a game or app from the cloud or from your console's local storage.

To make sure that what you are experiencing is not related to your device cache, I would recommend that you perform a power cycle. Please note that this is different from a regular restart, Kindly follow the steps below.

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 50 seconds.

Important: Make sure that you wait at least 50 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

Important If your console is in Sleep mode, the above steps will shut the console off completely. Sleep mode, or the ability to turn on your console by saying "Xbox on," won't be enabled until you restart the console.

To ensure that your router is not experiencing any issues or bugs that may cause some websites or ports to be inaccessible, please do a power cycle by turning off the device, pulling it out of the power outlet for 50 seconds before turning it back on.

Once it boots up and regains internet access, please try to access the feature.

You used brand-new batteries when you changed them, correct?

I'm having the same issue.

but I figured something about this.

When TV that connected to XBOX is turned on. remote play works.

but when TV is turned off. remote play is not working.

if I turn on my TV first, then remote play from my PC . it works perfectly.

then if I turn off my TV. suddenly Remote play become very unstable and stuttering.

and it disconnected automatically in a minute.

I tested wireless and wired , both behaves same.

and most importantly , this issue not reproducing iPhone and android phone remote play.

mobile phone remote play works perfectly no matter TV is turned on or not.

Hello jcleigh, just to make clear what this is about, are you trying to stream from Xbox to PC on the same network, are you trying to remotely play xbox through your mobile phone or are you trying to play Xcloud?

The OP is trying to use Remote Play between their PC and their Series X using the PC Xbox App:

"PC to XSX Remote Play"

They have tried to use remote play with their Android Device and it worked fine

I did the power cycle, searched my account for other devices to makes sure I'm the only one. Deleted all other accounts from my Xbox. Also rest my Xbox. Not to mention I was on the phone with Xbox for a hour, even though dude was helpful, he couldn't even figure it out
