    Quick Resume problems with games that have online connectivity


    Obviously, you're going to be disconnected from a server when you switch to a different game, but that's not what I'm talking about here.

    A couple of examples: -

    Overwatch - If you switch to playing a different game, then come back to Overwatch and pick it up via Quick Resume, you will be presented with the screen saying that you were disconnected from the server, then you press A to reconnect. That would be fine, however, the "Social" menu in the game, i.e. your online friends list, does not get updated from the last time you played, and the only way to fix that is to force close the game and restart it.

    Forza Horizon 4 - If you pick the game up via Quick Resume, the countdown time for the daily challenges and season change is not refreshed. For example, if it says there's 8 hours until the next daily challenge is unlocked and you switch to playing a different game, then you pick up playing FH4 via Quick Resume 7 hours later, instead of it saying there's only 1 hour until the daily challenge unlocks, it still says there's 8 hours to go and that prevents the challenge from unlocking. It can also leave you stuck in a season, even though the season has changed. Again, the only way to fix it is to force close the game and restart it.

    Hopefully this will be addressed soon.

    I can't play online in forza horizon 5

    Hello i have the same problem here but none of this helped me. When i start the game and try to go to online it load for a while and just says check your connection but everything is alright on my side this means there is something wrong on Microsofts end.

    I hope they'll fix it soon because i really want to play with my friends.
    Do you play on a Xbox Series X|S console?

    If so be sure to close the game properly by opening the Xbox Guide (Xbox button on controller) > Forza Horizon 5 > More options (Menu button with three lines) > Quit.

    This will close without saving the game to Quick Resume which is known to cause connection issues with online games.

    You can also see if it is in Quick Resume when you start the game and it says Quick Resume in the top right corner on the game's splash screen, or by checking the Quick Resume group when you open the Xbox Guide > My games & apps > Quick Resume.

    When you suspend a online game your essentially cutting the connection, Quick Resume to my Knowledge was based for Campaign / Singleplayer games mostly

    Your xBox is Perfectly Fine :)

    After sleep mode nothing works

    you need to quit games when you finish playing them. Quick Resume does not play well with a lot of games with online. features. It is up to the developer to fix this so they re-establish connections properly.

    What are you trying to do exactly play disk games ? If so then it's not quick resume

    Digital consoles only play digital games not disks

    We need the exact msg

    If you just got the console you wouldn't have issues with quick resume

    It is only a next gen feature

    You wouldnt have any quick resume
