Quick Resume need ability to turn off globally

    Quick Resume need ability to turn off globally


    Hi quick resume is a great idea but it doesn't work in practice and is causing more problems than it's worth.

    Examples:

    Immortals Fenyx Rising. After Quick Resume game plays fine but cannot be quick saved and manual save results in a corrupted save file. I have lost progress on two entire dungeons so far.

    Trials Rising. After Quick Resume game plays fine but when crossing the finish line after completing a challenge the game instantly crashes back to xbox menu. I've lost two 45 minute sessions where I finally completed challenges of been working up to for months. I still haven't been able to repeat them.

    Every game I play on series x has problems with quick resume. These aren't multilayer games on a server, they're single player. The quick resume feature is just flawed and I now have to manually close every game after saving and double check that I'm loading in fresh when I open a game to be sure that I'm not going to lose more time.

    The feature needs to be turned off. Or at a minimum we need an option to disable it per game or globally. It's supposed to make make your customers lives easier but it doesn't, it makes it harder because every time we play a game we have to close it and then double check that it's been removed from quick resume. I seriously want to get rid of the console because of this. It's so frustrating. Please fix it.

    Backup save to alternate internal storage

    Well it would only go back to your last checkpoint and if you didnt hit one it wouldn't save that is with any game or console

    Every game has a saving data symbol or.checkpoint system

    If you are starting a game you need to hit the first checkpoint

    This is what people.mistaken the quick resume to be

    It pauses the game at where you are

    But if you close or reboot the game rather then resume you will go back to your last checkpoint that's why you open the quick resume

    You can't do it within a boss match etc if I'm turning off the the night I run back to the check point and hit it and then turn off the console.

    Trust me you don't wanna stop quick resume when a huge fireball is about to hit you

    Phil Spencer says he’ll look into it, but that in no way guarantees that it will happen. Disabling quick resume is not a simple process, And it will likely take quite some time, if it is feasible to do so, without breaking a lot of other things

    As I mentioned, if you want to submit a feedback for the Xbox team to remove the quick resume feature or to have an option to complete turn it off, please use the Feedback Hub app. There is no way to completely turn it off right now.
