Tl;Dr - can quick-resume feature be disallowed/disabled by developer on cert/product page? Can dev disable that for the whole game? If not, can we have this kind of option in the future?

Despite the fact I'm porting programmer I have no access to XDK yet as majority of our projects are on either NX or PS, however what intrigues me is the quick-resume feature. It's great, that's for sure, however some games break completely because of this. Rainbow Six: Siege quick-resume feature means, that almost in every case I get into the lobby reconnecting, then I encounter the reset of lobby/main-menu screen with the message describing failure of fetching my profile which may result in total wipe of settings of the profile of the user agrees to relog. This issue is known to developer, however this is closely related to the console feature. Therefore the question is: can a developer disable the possibility of using the quick-resume? Does that happen on the product config page/ certification? If that's possible then it's entirely developer fault here, however if it's something you cannot forcefully disable on the process of deployment then this is quite bad (even if this request would need waiver from MS, it's still something that should be possible).

As an programmer I know this is something the dev should be aware of and make the reconnect/rejoin lobby/main-menu without issues (and the RS:Siege team is already aware of that anyway), however disabling the feature that is for sure not going to be used anytime is vital for the dev and end-user

How much would it cost me to have quick resume disabled on my Xbox?

Disabling quick resume is being explored, but there is no ETA on when it will happen or even if it can. Quick resume is baked into the hardware at very low level and may not be able to be disabled.

GTA Xbox series S quick resume

Quick resume is not something that can be disabled at this time. You need to go out to the dashboard, hit the start button on the game, and go to quit to ensure it does not enter quick resume

Why wont/when will Microsoft fix the broken achievements system?!

As an achievement enthusiast, I can assure you it's working just fine

One thing you should never do is allow games to use quick resume, as that is the fastest way to screw up achievements. Disabling quick resume is being explored, but is not known at this time whether or not it can be done
