Quick resume is broken and breaking my xbox

Ok so before someone says anything this feature sucks, when a game opens from it, the game performs horribly the opposite of what you want. But my issue is and I’ve had this a few times now where the console will not close a game or app and then I try to open that when I turn on the console and it freezes the console for a moment then I get control back and the only working options are turning it off or restarting it. Turning it off and on does nothing. Restarting gets in a loop of it being stuck trying to close the game or app in restarting. The longest I’ve waited was 30 minutes for it to work and I ended up just unplugging it and plugging it back in a minute later. This time I let it restart for 5 whole minutes and it broke the console and now it cannot connect to internet. Using wired and it won’t connect. It won’t let me pick wireless either.

Is this on all games or specific ones? If its on specific ones, can you try uninstall and reinstall them.
If it happens for any game, you can try close the game when done playing. You can do so by:
1. Highlighted the game you want to close.
2. Press the Menu button on your controller.
3. Select Quit.
This is not an ideal fix as quick resume should not cause you any of the issues you're faced with.

If none of this helps I suggest you can get your Xbox serviced instead.

I have done this and I do every time to fix it but the problem is that it still keeps happening. The quick resume feature should not exist as it causes more issues than it helps.

Any game does matter what it is, we see the lag only when resuming, we have to stop the game and start it back for it perform like normal.

Power cycling is pretty much the same to stop the game.

we've done it both ways and the issue returns.

Doesn't happen all the time but, often enough that's it's annoying and defeats the purpose of quick resume.

Have you tired quitting the game when you stop playing? You probably have but if you haven't try doing that.
