    Quick Resume, Great idea but it needs to change…


    I think that I speak for a vast majority of XBX Gamers being one myself, that Quick Resume is a great idea. However, it does have one fundamental design flaw that I would love to be added in future XBX OS beta. At the moment there is no option to completely remove a game title from Quick Resume apart from you Pressing the XBX button on your controller/My Games and Apps/Options/Remove from Quick Resume. I would like to see and option to remove a game title from Quick Resume for example AC Valhalla and Division 2 Quick Resume breaks the link to the servers which is why at times when you start either of the two titles Division 2 won’t load and with Valhalla it loses its link to the server which is why you get a server error message. Whether or not this happens to other game titles I didn’t know.

    If Microsoft added an option so that we could completely remove Game Titles from the Quick Resume I truly believe that it would be both beneficial and welcoming to all XBX Gamers. I have been thinking about this for a long time know ever since Quick Resume was added to the XBX it’s always played on my mind about adding an option to remove game titles from QR.

    What do you think of this idea and would you welcome it?

    Xbox Series X - Quick Resume Issues

    No settings need changed on your end. Since Series launch MS has been tracking issues with Quick Resume. Some titles have had quick resume deactivated while they investigate.

    There is no need for you to do anything, nor can you. Fan behaviors are changed in firmware updates and such. It would run when you had quick resume titles in memory for example. They’ve altered quick resume so it no longer needs to do that

    Quick resume is not something that can be disabled at this time. You need to go out to the dashboard, hit the start button on the game, and go to quit to ensure it does not enter quick resume

    Digital consoles only play digital games not disks

    If you just got the console you wouldn't have issues with quick resume

    I've not had to take such action myself, but I've seen the Xbox 360 games have issues with Quick Resume certainly. There is an Xbox Idea's hub over on Reddit, that you may want to post your idea there.

    Also seen some games not wanting to connect to servers after a quick resume. This is understandable due to the process used by Quick Resume to launch games quickly. Does seem like a very reasonable request to customise what games you want to use the feature.
