    Quick Actions Toggle on Cloud Gaming using Xbox App for Windows needs to be addressed


    Hello Xbox Community. For a while now I have been having problems with the Quick Actions Toggle (QAT) on the Xbox App for Windows 11 when I'm playing games from the cloud. Before the redesign the QAT disappeared and could only be activated by either touching or pointing to top left part of the screen. Now it's a submenu with six dots that sits on the top left. Problem is, the QAT now gets activated by controller input. When you push the LS up, it highlights it and A opens the menu and further pressing A will either open the stream menu which pauses the game or the open the Xbox Game Bar. I hope someone from the team sees this and address the problem because in competitive games like Mortal Kombat 11, I keep getting thrown off

    I would recommend you to leave all beta tests and system updates from the Xbox Insider program and try to reinstall the Xbox app. If it does not work, I'm not really sure if there is a fix for it since it is on Surface Pro.

    I've had a look at the thread you just shared and the reddit post in the said thread. Unfortunately the workarounds posted have not worked for me. Dragging the menu at the bottom seems to work but it eventually gets highlighted if the LS is pushed up quite a number of times

    I stream games on my Surface Pro, most of the time I'm gaming in tablet mode

    I also am experiencing this issue. I attempted the re-install suggestion and it worked for about 10 seconds then the problem came back again. I also tried the “put mouse over it” fix and the “drag to lower left corner” fixes and they did not work either. This makes the Xbox streaming functionality impossible to use for me. I am on a Microsoft Surface Pro 8, using a Microsoft Xbox controller with a Microsoft Xbox Cloud subscription. Could Microsoft please fix this so I can use my device, accessories, software, and subscription as intended?

    I have found a fix for this issue, though temporary

    By the way, thank you Lucas for the suggestion to opt out of Xbox Insider Progam

    Uninstall the app then download from the website https://www.xbox.com/en-za/apps/xbox-app-for-pc as opposed to downloading from the Windows Store and you're good to go, the QAT won't be highlighted when gaming

    Unfortunately, the problem does return when relaunching the same or launching another game after exiting but just close the Xbox app and open it again

    It's definitely a problem that needs to be addressed and I hope it does in the near future
