Thanks for your quick answer, Onyx. However, I thought if the person was signed into Live while having this content, they would still have access to it. They just can't play it offline. This is what I've heard anyway.

It may be possible to get access to this account again - it all depends if you can provide enough information to support. To regain access you need to call Xbox Live support. All being well, they should ask you a number of security questions to prove you
are the owner of the account.

Be aware that this is by no means a quick service. It may take up to 30 days.

When you go to http://forums.xbox.com you should see an Early Access option at the top if you are a part of the Preview Program, click on that. If you dont have the access and are a member you will need
to wait for an Official Support moderator to see this post, verify your participation, and then give you access. Usually they are pretty quick about it.

When you go to sign in don't select get me an email address. Just enter the email and then password. If still saying it is in use, the account may not been removed fully from the console. Since the profile is already off the console try a

soft factory reset. Make sure you select keep games and apps. Also do as suggested by Randy go to
account website make sure you are able to sign in there too.

When you are asked to speak to the virtual agent at the
Xbox Live Support site, you can decline it and get other options, such as requesting a free callback or chatting in real-time with a real Microsoft agent.

In the meantime, have you tried signing into the
Xbox website using your son's account, to make sure it works properly?
