Questions about ethics and gaming

Hello everyone Im Broken Link on the xbox and I want to share with you an experience I have just have that is really sad.
After finishing up an amazing game my son and I wanted to play something new over the weekend and stumbled across the game Roarr!!!
By looking at the clips and pictures I can tell I was in store for an amazing experience buy my 6 year old son wanted to play it so I bought the game for 5 dollars.

While playing the game its not pleasing to look at and at times the we have to restart the level because the character would refuse to jump or attack.
All this was overlooked and we pressed on with my son enjoying himself.
What I can not over look is when we get to the end of the game and we find out that its unbeatable.
Now understand there is a difference between “we cant beat it” and “the game unbeatable”
The latter means that on a technical level the developers created a boss that is so over powered and broken that just walking up to him leaves you with half life and you still have to hit him I would guess about 50 plus times.
This renders my son into tears because we are used to completing our games that we play.

This is unacceptable and when I reached out to Microsoft I was left with no help as I was last year.
Copy and paste cookie cutter answer with no regards to the gamer they have before them.

I want your thoughts on the subject and the questions I have below.

1 – When learning about this I feel like I am entitled to a refund or a credit of my money from either Microsoft or the developer for the game they created is unbeatable

2 – Now that Microsoft knows the game is unbeatable is them keeping it on the store stealing from future gamers and unethical ?

Fluke939 thanks for the response ! As you may have gathered this is less about the 5 dollars and more about the ethics and just being plain old wrong. Like my bloody zombie example above I take that lump proud but I put the blame on me 60 % and them 40

. This game like your saying cant be done in practical terms. I did reach out to the developers so Ill let you know if I hear back.

I just like talking about video games so I wanted to see what everyone thought. Gaming is my passion and out of the many types of gamers there are I am one to finish all the games I buy. So this rubbed me the wrong way.

sadly all those serches proved is that no one is able to beat the game.

To be honest is there a way for them to track how long I played a game ? It says I played ori and the will of the wisps for over 20 hours because it was on in the background when I was on netflix. hahahah

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. Not having played the game to the end myself I couldn't comment on how to beat the final boss. Sorry about that issue, i totally understand your point of view.

Now Microsoft didn t make the game so its maybe why the agent was not helpfull for you.

Editor are responsible for their game so i suggest you to contact them directly to explain your frustation about their game too.

Its justs really frustrating that a game like this exists on the microsoft store and nothing is done about it. I contact them and Im given the copy and paste response about a refund or credit. Its almost like they dont care about the gaming community
at all. Dont worry though in all of their new xobx console coverage it claims they do though .......... Sorry for venting
