Question

Do I need to be on my xbox to download GTA 5 to buy it?

:)

Question

Hello,
Sorry if this has been asked a lot or if it's me just being stupid. I'm confused. I just ordered the 1TB Spring Bundle from Microsoft and it says on the website (and everywhere else) that the games should be digital downloads. However, there were discs in the box. I'm installing Halo 5 and it is taking a while.

Was sending me the physical discs a mistake? Did I misunderstand the item description online? Are these actually digital versions but I'm downloading from a disc instead of a code?

Side note: The box was a little crushed on one corner but everything looked fine. When updating the system when I booted it up I kept getting errors. I tried a few different restart methods and it eventually worked. Really hope nothing is wrong with the system.

Question

Mind you Halo is a huge game. That could be a big part of it.

NO, you can set your x box to download while offline. The manual "on" button will flash if you turned it on. Look in console settings. Read the descriptions to find it in custom setup.

The game will download to the last console your profile was logged into, so if your trying to buy the game from xbox.com you can. once you turn your console on, you can check the active downloads to see it there.

troubleshooting step

if it is not there as downloading to the console, it could be that it is already downloaded, or you just have to redownload it, so for redownloading it go to settings>account>download history> look for the game and redownload it. more than likely, you will
not have to do this, but worst case scenario, this is all you will need to do.

Really I didn't know that can download DLC while offline, but I know Xbox One can offline while downloading DLC. Can you give me tutorial how to download while offline on 360 console?.

Its in the x box setting menu. Thats all the way right on dashboard. I make a custom settings. It includes a long list of options. Its called like auto off I think. If you read the description it will say finish your download while staying connected to the
internet until its finished.

There is also an option that you can set to allow your downloads to download while the Xbox is shut off. I believe it is called "Background Downloads", and it will enable your Xbox to continue downloading DLC while your Xbox is completely turned off. You
will know it is working when your Xbox blinks every few seconds with a slow fade-in/out on the power button.
