    question/suggestion about the badging of Xbox Series X|S games vs backwards compatible...


    Currently, on the Xbox Series X|S, titles that are optimized for the new consoles have the X|S badge and Xbox One titles do not have a badge (unless from game pass/gold/ea play). Anyways, my question is more or less why did xbox decide to badge Xbox Series X|S titles, even when playing on the Xbox Series X|S? We know what console we are using, and wouldn’t it make more sense to badge titles not optimized for your system, rather than the ones that are?

    Along this same line of thought, if you go into My games & apps > Games > and then set the filter to Group by console type, perhaps it would make more sense to just list Xbox Series X|S games as Xbox Series X|S games, not Optimized for Xbox Series X|S games. Then, you have Xbox One games, and then Xbox 360 & Xbox games.

    On a side note, it would also be great if Xbox 360 & Xbox games had their own sections, instead of being lopped into one group.

    There is going to be an Xbox One version of the game, but no news about an Xbox Series S/X version. Most likely it will come to the Series X/S as a backward compatible title. But as I say no news yet.

    This is to reduce the confusion between series s/x and one when it comes to.compatibility

    Only the xbox one s all digital is the only xbox one that isn't compatible with discs

    However there is no limitation as far as xbox one other then the digital only console as far as xbox one games goes

    Vs the series x /s they are backward with xbox one and with the series s limitation as far as discs goes

    The $29 one you saw is the Xbox One version of the game which is backwards compatible with the Series S/X. The 360 version is not backwards compatible.
