Question regarding Xbox Live profile and content

Hi,

Say for instance I sell my Xbox, will I have to remove my Xbox Live profile/account entirely? Will I have to do a hard reset in order for it to act as if if it were new?

Also is it possible for someone else to use your Xbox Live profile/account to access its content? e.g. games, apps, etc)

As long as you sign in with the same email and password then yes everything will be there for you on the new xbox.

Safety measure wise as long as you factory reset the console you should have no problems.

As a precaution if you want once you factory reset the console you can also change your password on your account so that way if somehow they get your account back on your old console it will ask them for the new password and if they do not know the new password
then they would not be able to sign into your account.

in case you don't know it, the profile that bought the game/dlc/content will always have the license for that content.

A profile with the license can redownload the content on any console and use it whenever the console is connected to xbox live.

But to answer the questions, there is no way (that I know off) to check the licenses on a console, other then trying to use the content with the profile that bought it when the console isn't connected to xbox live. If the content shows up as trial then the
license isn't on the console, if the content shows as the full game the license is on the console and on the profile.

Only the profile that bought the content, can use the full content on the console where the license is.
