hi I started xbox 2 days ago so i dunno how it all work I was in a game in game chat on fortnite I got paired up in a squad with someone who was bad talking my family and using homophobic words so I reported him 4 voice communication and I write in report
description what he said in game chat. can the moderation team hear what he said in game chat as someone told me they need message proof??

You will get feedback in form of xbox live message only if the report you filed resulted in an enforcement act:

“Thanks for helping make Xbox Live safer for everyone! We took action on one or more of the recent complaints you filed. For more information: www.xbox.com/live/complaint-feedback”

they can get hold of all the details, they have access to the servers so yes.

You do not, but you may receive a message after you've reported several people and it will be a message from Xbox Live saying that they've taken action on one of your recent reports and "thanks for helping xbox live to be a better place".

when you report somebody data is grabbed and sent to the Enforcement team. They can view the server activity for voice chat and messages and if the person violated the code of conduct, issues a suspension. This may not happen straight away and it could
be several weeks before action is taken.
