Question on account suspension

So my xbox account is suspended, and I was curious if I were to borrow a friends second xbox, if their IP address could be banned or if there would be any consequences to them?

In the history of xbox Live i have only known of 2 instances where a ban has been overturned. And those were both valid overturns.

Your situation does not sound like a valid reason, as your son was doing something way more naughty than a name, bio, or motto violation.

kinda frustrating due to all the money I have spent buying him MS points to buy games / DLC packs, when I spoke to the representitive on the phone I understood there was some appeals process, not just come here to find its pretty much another rep using
copy + paste from the original email and locking the topic, kinda pointless and not exactly right, I mean what if somebody was indeed incorrectly banned they wouldnt have a chance to argue there case, a short suspension or a warning on the account or even
a reset or achievements / gamer score is fair enough, and a ban in extreme cases but to hit peoples wallets by taking away the DLCs and games people have paid for is going a bit far

Only if you were to do something on their console that would cause it to be banned. Otherwise, no.

Sadly it is pretty much an open and shut case on the account. I wouldn't say you have zero chance, but your chances are so slim, they may as well be zero. I have never heard of a ban being overturned. I'm sorry for your misfortune, but there is nothing
you can do at this point. Best advice I can give you is buy a new gold account, and limit your son's account to only have his voice heard by friends, and that you have to approve his friend request. I would look at the people he is playing with as they are
obviously a bad influence. You can also have multiple gamertags on the console, so you can lock out the gametag with a code so he can only play when you are in the room. Or you can trade it in and go to a Playstation. At least with that, you don't have
to have GOLD to enjoy Netflix and such.
