Question about Xbox Adaptive Controller

I was wondering if only the devices listed on Xbox Adaptive Controller | Xbox under the title "Xbox Adaptive
Controller Accessories" will be compatible with the device? I am asking as the USB joystick listed on the page only has a right-handed version available, unlike Thrustmaster's T-16000M and T-16000M FCS joysticks, which are USB joysticks, but allow the user
to control it using their left or right hands.

So, does the Xbox Adaptive Controller work with any USB 2.0 HIDs?

I have a TetraMouse XA (TetraMouse - Products (Home Page)), which is a proportional USB mouth joystick that controls the mouse on a PC, and it is not recognized by the Adaptive Controller.

honestly I'm not quite sure but if i had to guess I would say yes. Why would Xbox make something that expensive and be made by xbox if you couldn't use it to game on. But to be on the safe side please call 1-800-4MY-XBOX I'm sure they should be able to answer
this question you have.

 

I am hoping for an actual official answer from one of the Microsoft employees who can actually state for sure one way or another, not an Ambassador who is speculating. Also I cannot ring that number, I am based in the UK.
