Question about the Xbox app

I just have a quick question about hiding your name.

Is it possible to hide/block your name on the Xbox app? I just don't feel comfortable with people knowing my name.

Hi!!

You can hide your name on the app, by selecting your profile pic and selecting the Name Sharing Settings.

If the app is giving you problems to show this option, you can always check the steps for doing so on the Xbox Console on this

link.

I can't say anything about the sound effects within the apps. However, you have the option of either turning off the kinect from the System tabs of the dashboard, unplugging the sensor from the usb port or (as I do) put a light cloth over the sensor when
I am watching a movie.

I'll have to get used to muting the TV when Im browsing netflix.

I had no idea there was an option in the system tab for turning off the kinect
