    Question about the game Dead by Daylight cd/digital on Xbox One


    Sorry, I'm not sure how to really make the title for this. I purchased the Dead by Daylight game from the Microsoft store and digitally downloaded it. It came with the basic characters for the Special Edition. Recently I have seen the same game (Dead
    by Daylight) but it's the nightmare edition which has more characters than the game I downloaded has on it. The difference is this one is on a cd and I'd prefer to not have to use a cd to play my game. The question I have is if I buy this version of the
    game and put it in, will it only install the extra content I didn't get with my copy of the game (remembering this is a cd and I have it digital) or will it install the whole game again? If it does install the extra characters will I then need to use that
    cd to continue to play the game or will I be able to play without the cd since my original copy of the game was digital when it was installed? I hope this makes sense for the question I'm asking. I don't really want to use the cd to play the game and I don't
    want to have to re-download it as my internet takes a long time to download games. Thank you for any help you can give me.

    I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues accessing your characters on PC.

    Unfortunately, Dead by Daylight is not part of the "Play Anywhere" program and as such, it requires separate purchases for each gaming platform. This means that the base game and any DLC content purchased on console won't work on PC (and vice versa).

    I'm afraid this is the reason why you don't see your characters in the PC version of the game.

    did you install dead by daylight or the special edition?

    You can play Dead by Daylight: Special Edition with Xbox Game Pass for Console, or buy it to own.

    dead by daylight is purchasable may have been on gamepass and rolled off.

    Dead by daylight is from gamepass however, I also own it digitally and on disc (from gameshare and bought it before it was on gamepass)
