Question about steam games and Xbox one X

I’m new to the Xbox and have a question.

I have a lot of PC based Steam games that I have purchased and a lot of CD based games that i have purchased.

If the same game exists for the Xbox do I have to purchase it again or can I down load the Xbox version onto my Xbox one X and use the PC Product Code to unlock the Xbox version?

I’m guessing that I will need to Purchase it again since it would most likely be a different license, correct?

WOW, I just now had time to check out that link you sent me!!

That is so cool, thank you so much!!

I lost the ability to walk in 2017 and I had a high end gaming laptop in the living room and i was using remote desktop to interface with my tower PC in the other room.

I was taking it with me to the hospital and unfortunately I fell asleep a few times, BAM laptop fell on the floor. It destroyed the power input, burned a hole in the motherboard. That was the end of that motherboard!

This new app will help me so much. Thanks again!

Yes you will need to purchase again as Steam and Microsoft are two different stores.

The only way to play this game on a PC is to purchase it on Steam. Platforms it's available on:
