Question about returning my Elite Controller 2

But my question is:

When will Quality Control improve for Elite Series 2 Controller?

Returning it seems to be the only legitimate option. Flydigi looks to make a very nice controller that will do everything the Elite 2 will do but has even more buttons and is capable via REWASD.

So I think I will return this Elite 2 and go with Flydigi since they seem to actually care about PC gamers as customers.

Purchased Elite 2 Lot# 1942, Model# 1797,1924 about 2 weeks ago from Best Buy. 2 days ago I put the controller on the table and noticed the forward motion of my character, slow then faster. I went to the Xbox main menu and put the controller down on the
table and noticed the cursor slowly then more rapidly go to the top of the screen. There is no play in the controls, and the drift is there unless I pull back on the control intentionally. Being returned today to Best Buy.

My second Elite 1 controller, replacing a unit that fell and broke, has always worked well and without issue for about 2 years.

Not sure if it is a hardware or firmware issue, but it doesn't really matter it the controller doesn't work.
