Question about Microsoft's first-party games...

On the 360 or on the Xbox One? Every game is put up on the Xbox One digital store on day one, but 360 games might take a while to get there digitally.

it is not up to microsoft, apart from first party titles that microsoft create all others have there servers operated and paid for by the devs/publishers of the game, microsoft do not pay for these servers and have no control over them.

basically nearly all third party games host and pay for their own servers. if they want to shut them down they can do, especially if the game in question is fairly old now.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. There is usually a piece of tape or seal on the edge of the disc case. Remember these are also created by developers not Microsoft unless they are first party games.

[/quote]Fixed for accuracy. Microsoft controls pricing for XBLM content. Of course, a little 'persuasion' can help sway things in the dev's favor (i.e. Valve & the Portal 2 DLC pack), but since Microsoft has publishing
rights to this particular game they have the final say as to what goes where.

[/quote]This is untrue. In the end it was EPIC who decided to go along with it if in fact MS did make them lock content. EPIC could have easily said no and MS would have released the game regardless since it is one of the only
Xbox exclusive games.
