Question about Loot Boxes from Multiplayer

So I'm getting these Pathfinder loot/resource/credit boxes while playing multiplayer Strike Team/APEX missions. I currently have a single player game going. If I were to restart that single player game, would those loot boxes still be available to the
new Ryder, aboard the Tempest?

EA Access vs Lootbox.

Are you trying to discuss new games with loot boxes being added to the service devaluing it? Or are you trying to discuss that as someone plays the games in the vault, the worth of the product could go down for someone?

Because those are not the same thing at all. New games getting added to the vault, whether they have loot boxes or not will only increase the value of the service, because there is more being offered for the price.

If you're talking about the worth of the service to an individual lowering as they play games, that may very well be the case. That's not the same thing your original question was about though.

EA Access vs Lootbox.

Well it's more valuable, because I have another game to play that the service offers me. I don't give a shit about loot boxes. Playing the base game has yet to force me into spending extra money on loot boxes. Furthermore, the loot boxes are there no matter how I obtain the game. It's not like they only exist on a special version for EA Access. They are the same loot boxes there would be if I had paid for and played the game outside of EA Access.

In multiplayer I like to pay for cosmetics, but I hate loot boxes and pay to win games.

If the law wants to change things about Loot Boxes, then nothing else can be done. For my part if I was in that situation, I would just be careful on how I get Loot Boxes is all.

I think this is great, and one thing I like about the report is that it states that even if the items in the loot boxes can't be converted back into money (something that some argue makes loot boxes different than gambling), the items received from those
boxes clearly do have a monetary value because people have demonstratively shown a willingness to spend money on the boxes in the first place.

Loot boxes shouldn't be available to young children, shouldn't be purchasable in effectively-unlimited quantities, and should have their odds as transparent as possible. Or, they could just, you know, go away and such.
