Question about Home Xbox and purchasing games

Only the profile that purchases the game would own the game. So if profile B buys a game, they will own the game, not profile A. If profile A changes the Home setting, profile B would still own the game since they purchased it on their account.

If it gets added, it's usually about a year or so. Maybe a couple of months sooner.

You are not able to transfer the content that you have purchased from one account to another however, you can designate your console as the home console for that account. By doing so, any account that signs into that Xbox will have access to all the games and content that the account owns (with the exception of in-game purchases and progress).

Once you move out of your roommate's house you will need to purchase your own love gold membership. His good will not be on your account. However, you can get a gold membership for one year for $59.99+tax. If you can't afford the year price up front you
can do a monthly for$9.99 or three month for $24.99. Also keep an eye on sites like Amazon, Microsoft store, etc because sometimes you can find sales on the yearly gold.
