Question about having a digital and physical copy of a game.

Okay, I bought the Master Chief Collection as a digital copy on my Xbox One.

I'm going to my friends house on Friday to LAN it up and he has a physical copy.

My other friend is bringing his Xbox One but has no Master Chief Collection.

My question is... if we use my friend's physical copy to install on the other Xbox One and then I sign in on that Xbox...

Do we have to use the disk on that Xbox One? Or do I HAVE to download the Digital version and stay signed in to use it without a disk?

Interesting question that I hope someone may be able to answer. So, I'm having the same problem as everybody else, as I am about an hour and a half into my digital copy install, and I'm only at about 11%.. My roommate has the physical copy though, so if
I was to use his disc to install the game instead, could I still play the game without a disc due to the fact that I have bought a digital copy, but am choosing to install by physical disc because it's faster? I only ask on here rather than try because I don't
want to screw this up and have even more difficulties, and then ultimately have to re-reinstall my digital copy; thus losing a hour and a half worth of progress on the install. PLEASE HELP!

Yeah, you can install on the second Xbox One using the disc and if you are logged into that console, the game will be playable. You will not need to download it in that case.
