Question about gold subs and sharing it.

So a friend of mine just asked me a question that make me have doubts since I'm not really up to date with the subscription sharing things. He currently have a monthly Game Pass Ultimate subscription active but he's planning on cancel it and get 1 year by
buying a gold subscription and then switch it to Ultimate on his wife's account.

He asked if all the games he claimed in the past with his account will be available to him to play and I told him that is is not possible to transfer that kind of content between accounts but then another question came to my mind.

If he sets his wife account with gold as the home xbox, this means that his wife will share the gold with his account, in this way is it possible to him to have access to the previous games he claimed with his subscription?

I was very sure that is not possible but I want to give him the right feedback.

Thanks to both of you. But I think I didn't explained myself. I understand that they can share the gold subscription with no problem, so I think I didn't explained myself correclty:

My question is more oriented to the Games with gold claimed in the past. I understand that if you don't have an active subscription to Gold you will not be able to play the GWG you already claimed months ago, but if you sign in into an xbox with a Gold account
as home, can he access those GWG ?

Anything he purchased on his account will still be tied to his account and he can still access them from his account. If they were games form Game Pass then once he switches the Ultimate game pass to his wife's account, she would need to download them
first in order for him to play them again. Game Pass itself does not share, but the games do.

Thanks for clearing that up. So, your friend would not be able to access his previously claimed games with gold titles without having gold on
his account. Even if the gold is being shared to him, that technically
doesn't count for Games with gold.
