Question about games and credits promotion.

So I am a member of the Xbox Rewards program and they are running a special as far as reward credits when you purchase the following exclusives: Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition, Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of The Tomb Raider, Rare Replay, and Halo 5: Guardians.
I purchased all of the titles digitally through the Xbox Store including Rise of the Tomb Raider today but purchased the Collector's Edition of Halo 5 from GameStop which came with a digital download code that I redeemed for the game. Why am I not getting
credit for Halo 5 towards the promotion. Just curious.

When you download the free game, it works exactly the same as if you had just bought a game from the marketplace. So yes, the ownership of the game is still on your account if you want to download it again later.

If you add them to your purchase history inside of the two weeks they are free for Gold members, then you are free to download them again at any time just like anything else you own.

Unfortunately you need to purchase the games through the xbox store, so if you purchases through Gamestop, then it won't count

Take from the Rewards page:

When you purchase or pre-order any of these landmark games from the Xbox Store, you'll earn up to 6,000 Rewards Credits per title, totalling up to 25,000 Rewards Credits. If you purchased or pre-ordered a game before 27 October 2015, you won't be rewarded
for that individual purchase, but you WILL be one step closer to collecting all five games for a bonus of 35,000 Rewards Credits — meaning that all together, up to 60,000 Rewards Credits can be yours!*

I don't think there is a set percentage, but a lot of games do drop in price a while after launch. Not all of them do though.

Once you've added the game to your purchase history, you don't actually need to download it at that time, you can grab it again any time you want just like any other game you've bought.

This isn't PS+. You get to keep every game they give you even if your gold membership expires and they can be deleted and redownloaded as long as XBL continues to function on 360.
